If you face the above issue, this could be due to DCHP Client services was stopped or disabled. To check on this in Window 7,
- Go to Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools.
- Double-click “Services”.
- Find “DHCP Client”
- If it was disabled, right click and go to “Properties”
- Change the “Startup Type” to “Manual”
- Click the “Start” button.
- * You may need to do the same for “DNS Client” services.
