Gave my best to win the first prize but my ‘performance’ is not good enough to win it. But, at least I can proudly say that I have given my best. Annual Dinner is 14 January 2013.
This week was my first week of my new job. Overall, I feel it has been good so far.
Need to keep it up this ‘high note’ constantly though 🙂
It’s quite amazing how much you received when you give. I mean not so much about Christmas gift (physically) but more on emotionally and spiritually like fetching Christians to church and being Kingdom Kids teacher. Fetching Frankie Choy and his mom to church has been always inspiring. Even though he is blind, he brought his friend to church today and for yesterday’s Christmas gathering bible talk, he also brought two friends too. Always positive and joyful both of them. Being a Kingdom Kids teacher for some months, I felt encouraged to be treated like their good friends / buddies. Even some of them got a xmas gift for me! Although at times, they can get into your nerve, but overall it has been a joy being their Kingdom Kids teacher and as a friend to listen and have fun with them. Indeed ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ (Acts 20:35)
Today, I feel good to initiate to update my superior the progress of my work, to tell him some of my plan, to tell him some of the problems the team faced recently and the problem with the task assigned to me. The advantage of doing so at your own initiative is you are prepared. When he comes to you to find out all these things, you are not prepared, at least at that time. Gonna keep doing this periodically or when needed.
