30th April 2014 – 16th Anniversary

16 years ago, my mom and I attended the Sunday church service at Melia Hotel and was ushered to sit in second row. The sermon entitled “What Are You Waiting For?” was preached by Halbert Louis and amazingly both of us didn’t fall asleep at all during the whole sermon which we normally did 😀 The next day Weng Hong studied the bible with me. Next day continue with a marathon of 5 lessons bible studies within 7 hours (that week was the last week of my college break). Next day continue study bible for another 3 lessons – Vincent Sim (cross lesson) and Wong Mun Foo Michael (baptism lesson). Next day continue to do some follow-up studies and then get baptized at night at Seri Emas condo at Cheras on 30/4/1998. After awhile, I realize that it was the last day of the campaign month 😀 Thank God that I’m still faithful today. Imagine just 4 days of foundation. Thanks to my mom, Karen Chan for first invited me to this church. Thanks for all who studied the bible with me. Thanks for the love, cards and encouragement from the campus. Thanks to the one-on-one strict discipling from Ngui Jack Fui during my first 2 years as young Christian. Without all these, I don’t think I can survive spiritually that time.

Closing Eyes Prayer

I remember one of the funny incidents happened when I was still a young Christian 16 years ago is when I prayed together with my spiritual mentor. As we prayer together, I realize that his prayer can really be pretty lengthy. Those days, in my mind, when pray to God, I need to close my eyes because I shouldn’t open my eyes because God is here. So during the prayer together, I tried my keep closing my eyes closed. But the problem is when I keep eyes close for too long, I began to feel a little dizzy. Later, when we plan prayer together, I felt struggle until I ask him this question, “Can I open my eyes when pray together?” He replied, “Who said you can’t open your eye during prayer?” 🙂

Short Trip to Langkawi

Overall, I would say that Langkawi Underwater World is a mild version of combination of Aquaria KLCC and KL Bird Park. Some photos and videos which I took to share to all. I have edited the video to show the gist of it. Enjoy!

Langkawi Cable Car – RM15 (with MyCard). Worth to go especially if you have never been there.
Since there is no time limit, you can relax, lepak, or read books or journaling there too with a cup of coffee 🙂
We saw this sunset while we travelled back from cable car to Pantai Cenang.
After googling, we found out that people recommended a restaurant called “Wonderland” which is located at the town area. But because of ‘econimical’ reason, we ended had our dinner at the restaurant besides it. At the end, the food is below than average.
Black Sand Beach – Indeed it is true. But after looking back some photos I found from the Internet many years ago, the beach looks so much more like a ‘black sand beach’ than now.
Interesting to find out how and why this beach is black.
All photos from now onward are taken at Underwater World which is located at Pantai Cenang. Entrance fee is RM30. Overall, I would sum up that it is a mild version of combination of KL Bird Park and Aquaria (KLCC). But the uniqueness of this Underwater World is …

… there are penquins here!!! But one thing I have learnt is to come during the feeding time (i.e. 3 PM). There is a tunnel for you to see those penquins dive under the water. We don’t see them dive much maybe because no a feeding time.
I think besides penquins, there rest of the creatures over here can be seen at Aquaria too.

This crab is unbelievably HUGE.
Creature from the outer space?

Another odd fish which I have never seen before.

The Journey – 2014 Astro Movie

Some resemblances of The Journey vs Up

1. Both man actor is an old man. The Journey – Uncle Chuan; Up – Carl Fredricksen. Both wife no longer around and pretty ‘grumpy’

2. Balloon. The Journey – few balloons occasions like the first balloon during first scene, two man popping balloon using chest, balloon in the kid’s classroom and BIG hot air balloon. Up – too many balloons.

3. Fulling the dreams of your best friend. The Journey – Uncle Chuan’s best friend is the class monitor and his dream is to build a hot air balloon. After 50 years, that dream still not being fulfilled. After his death, his best friend Chuan want to do it to fulfill his dream. Up – Carl’s best friend is his wife and his wife’s dream is to go to Paradise Fall. They both tried many times to go there but unable. After some time after his wife’s death, he decided to fulfill his wife’s dream to go to Paradise Fall.

4. Friendship can be develop when both going through things together (for men especially). The Journey – Initially Chuan doesn’t like Benji but after doing things together (forced to), they begin to accept and tolerate each other and became friends. Up – Initially Carl doesn’t like Russell (the kid) but after going some journey together (forced to), they became friends.

5. Both movies got good feedback by majority ral generations to Germany, some people still break into giggles when he makes business calls on restaurant companies.
