I Lost One Wisdom

Few weeks ago, I felt something uncomfortable at my gum and I suspected this could be due to wisdom tooth thingy. So last Saturday, 15 May 2010, I went to the dentist. Sure enough, the dentist told me that it is due to my wisdom tooth. I didn’t even realized when this wisdom tooth grow! He then showed me some pictures of my wisdom tooth and said that if wisdom tooth are not taken care well, it could leads to problems, including affecting the tooth besides it. He advices me to have it removed and assured me that that wisdom tooth is an extra tooth and will not affect my eating. The dentist charged me RM300 because he said that wisdom tooth removal is consider not complicated one and I agreed to go for it since I heard that this wisdom tooth removal can costs around RM500. After signing the consent form, the dentist began. He gave me a jab and did a couples of things and within 30 minutes, my first wisdom tooth was gone. The nurse gave me some antibiotics, pain killer and mouthwash and told me to only eat after two hours.

After the removal until now, I just took the antibiotics but not the pain killer because didn’t really feel much pain. So, if you would like to remove yours, you can consider this dentist also. It is Dental Chuah. The address is 21A, First floor, Jln 14/20 Section 14, 46100 Petaling Jaya, Selangor (Opposite 7-11 and Secret Recipe. Nearby Digital Mall.). The contact number is 03-79570678. I think you can still negotiate the price which I didn’t.

By the way, I realize that this dentist also do root canal and crowning which is extremely dangerous. I would like to advice you to visit www.natural-health.com.my to gain some knowledge first.

Interesting facts:

  • Our teeth is the hardest bone in the body. It is able to withstand hundreds of pounds of pressure per square inch. More specifically, enamel, the clear outer layer of the tooth above the gum line, is the hardest substance in the human body.
  • Jaw muscles can contract with a force as great as 55 pounds of pressure on anterior incisors, and 200 pounds of pressure on back molars. (It takes 300 pounds per square inch of pressure to crack Macadamia shell, one of the hardest nut shell in the world.)

Good bye my wisdom!

Someone Wrote About Me In The Newspaper For The First Time

For the first I was mentioned in a newspaper. It was in Powerful News on 7 April 2010. Even though, this newspaper is not the most popular, it is excited to see my name in it. The one who wrote it was Lee Sah, a church friend of mine. She is the one who help to book the badminton court for us every Sunday night.

Join Running For The First Time

On Sunday, 14 March 2010, for the first time I went for a 10 KM run. It was at Bukit Jalil, Seri Petaling. Running wasn’t my passion. I prefer sports like badminton, tennis, soccer, futsal, basketball, ping pong, bowling, volleyball, pool and snooker. I also like to play chess and singing. But I thought of joining this run to push myself to exercise more and in hope that by doing that, will burn some fat (more specifically the fat at my tummy :D).

Back to that run on that day, it was indeed a great experience for me. I ran 10 KM before a couple of times but on the treadmill (during my membership at California Fitness). But running 10 KM at outdoor was totally different compare to treadmill. The excitement level and atmosphere are so different. Besides that, running at outdoor there could be some ‘hills’ as well.

After a long tiring run, I reached the destination at the end. I was so happy that I got the finisher medals. My timing is one hour eight minutes. I think this timing is not too bad as my best timing for 10 KM on treadmill (without any level) is one hour five minutes. My position is 203 for my category. Not sure how many participants for my category though.

Interesting Video During Melaka Trip

On Friday, 26 February, my church group went to Melaka for a day trip tour. One of the places we went is the Taman Buaya. Later, I got to know that this Taman Buaya is the biggest Taman Buaya in Malaysia. Very fortunately, at that moment, there was a crocodile performance. Below are some clips I took.

In case you don’t wanna stream the video, below are some pictures:
Part 1: (Warning! Please do not try this!)

Part 2: (Warning! Please do not try this!) The performer rolled some money donated by the audiences, hold it with his mouth and put it inside the crocodile’s mouth. Then, he went to take back that rolled money from the crocodile’s mouth. (Warning! Please do not try this!)

While waiting for the rest to come over to Studhuys, I was leaning over to look at the Sungai Melaka.

At that time, a man told me that there is a ‘lizard’ in the river. I was a little shocked to see the size of the ‘big lizard’ and thus quickly video captured it. I think this ‘big lizard’ is a Komodo Dragon.
