Goals For Year 2009 (Year End Review)
Created on Saturday, 26 December 2009Edited on Friday, 1 January 2010
Spiritual/Character Growth
- To have a cheerful and thankful heart always.
Result in short: I have not yet achieved this goal. I did put effort into it from time to time but still not able to overcome my grumpiness especially at home and at office. At times, I don't know how to deal with it and at times I couldn't figure out its root cause. This is really tough for me. Anyway, will bring forward this goal to next year and continue to work on it.
Emotionally/Socially/Relationship
- To get steady.
Result in short: I have not yet achieved this goal even though I did work hard for it. Will bring forward this goal to next year and continue to work hard and pray about it.
Physically
- To have career stability - To get confirmed by March, 2009 and stay with the job until end of the December, 2009. How: Work hard and work smart lo. Need to constantly review own performance and talk about problem to superior before the problems become bigger.
Result in short: I achieved this goal. I got confirmed by March 2009 and have stayed with this same job until end of 2009. So, in total, I have stayed in this job for one year and four months. But, I still want to have this same goal next year.
- To have healthy weight - To gain weight of six kilograms by the end of June, 2009.
Result in short: Weight as on today, 1 January 2010 is 57 KG. I couldn't reach my goal of 60 KG but I think it is okay. Thinking about it, this goal is not too important compare to other goals. Think I won't bring forward this goal. I will still try to work on my weight by muscle-building and taking protein and burn fat but more on casually mode.
- To be healthy - Not to take any MC until end of December, 2009.
Result in short: I achieved this goal. Even though I achieved this goal, this doesn't mean that I am super healthy. There are times I was sicked and went to see doctor but doctor didn't give me any MC and I will usually still go to work even though sick unless I'm extremely sick. Physically feel more week during month Oct-Nov. Heavy metal and vitality test show left kidney was not good. Did a one month detox program from 22 Nov - 22 Dec. But I haven't do the second heavy metal test to check on the progress.
Great Comission
- To be involved in the Great Comission - Conduct AND sit in at least seven bible studies (seven plus seven is forteen involvement) by the end of December, 2009. To be involved in outstation mission trip (Melaka), at least two trips by the end of December, 2009.
Result in short: I achieved 50% of this goal. I only sat in three bible studies (two in February 2009 and one in November 2009). For the outstation mission trip, I didn't go to Melaka but to Tawau (1-3 May 2009 and 7-9 Aug 2009) and to Kuantan (October 2009).
Community Service (under HOPEworldwide Kuala Lumpur)
- To serve the underprivileged community. How: To be a volunteer librarian for Mini Library program from February-April and to join volunteerism program once a month when needed.
Result in short: I think I meet this goal indirectly. My plan to be a volunteer librarian for Mini Library program from February-April didn't happened. I think HOPEww doesn't need a librarian at the moment. I didn't monitor if I join the volunteerism program once a month. But I got contribute by developing a web application (volunteermalaysia.org). Start from March until now. Working together with IMU student and another volunteer graphic designer.
